Engagement

By season: Spring, Summer, Fall, & Winter

Congratulations, on your engagement. You may have started to plan your wedding BUT lets not forget to celebrate your engagement! Engagement photoshoots are some of my absolute favorites! I love seeing your love and creating a shoot around you, what you love to do, and your love story! The following are a few outfit tips and inspirations for each season.

Spring outfit Inspirations: Bring a pops of color!

Spring weather can be hit or miss, however with spring showers comes flowers! I love the excitement of spring and all the colors! If you are planning a spring engagement shoot here are some outfit ideas. Think about wearing layers in case the weather turns colder or warmer.

Summer: Longer days, warmer weather, and gorgeous sunsets!

We plan our summer engagement session towards the evenings. This way it will not be too HOT and the lighting will be PERFECT. When thinking about locations think about what you two like to do together. Walk around downtown, going to your favorite park, etc. Here are some inspirations for what to wear. I recommend that you dress up and dress down.

Fall: Time to bring out the layers! Sweaters, jackets, and outfit changes!

Fall is the most popular time for engagement photos! And I can see why! The weather is cooler so we can break out the cute sweaters, flannels, and hats! When thinking about your outfits think about not just matching each other but also the colors around you. For example if the leaves are orange and yellow try to stay away from those two colors.

Winter Engagements: Bring on the SNOW!

One big bonus to winter is SNOW. A snowy background really helps any color pop! If you do not mind the cold, winter engagement photos are so unique. You can wear a cute jacket and scarf and then take them off for a few photos as well.

Hope this helps give you some outfit ideas for your engagement shoot. You can also follow along on Pinterest for more ideas.
